The MENNEKES FDS Fusible Disconnect Switch is a UL 98 Listed Enclosed Switch. When equipped with Type J Fuses, the unit provides a UL Short Circuit Rating of 100kAIC. Compact in design, FDS Switches are an economical alternative to traditional stainless steel knife blade safety switches.

The NEMA 4X; 12 rated enclosure features MENNEKES1 Hidden Hinge System which provides convenient access to the interior and a 180° Door Swing. The rugged switch has a maximum rating of 15hp @ 480Vac and features Touch Safe Terminals and integral Class J fuse holders.

• Switch - Self-cleaning contacts are driven by a solid bridge bar to prevent single phasing. Positive opening operation protects personnel from welded contacts and Quick-Make/Quick-Break action provides long electrical life.
• Fuse Isolation - Contacts on both sides of fuses provide full isolation in "OFF" position to reduce risk of electric shock, even if switch is back fed.
• Removable Fuse Holders - Allow for install and replacement of fuse away from interior of unit. Standard offering for Type J Fuses. (Type CC also Available)
• Padlockable Handle - High visiblility design clearly indicates ON-OFF status. Handle size allows for operation with gloved hand. Padlock capability assists with OSHA LO/TO compliance and can accommodate oversized hasp and lock shackle.
• NEMA 4X Enclosure - Uses poured-in seamless gasket and stainless fixing screws for the ultimate seal. Impact modified Valox® enclosure is resistant to harsh environments. Hidden Hinge System eliminates sanitation concerns.
• Auxiliary Contacts - Full range available in N/O and N/C style.
